Connie Hagar Sanctuary

This sanctuary, established and maintained by the Friends of Connie Hagar, perpetuates her memory as well as the migrant birds that continue to come through Rockport. The 6 acre Connie Hagar Cottage Sanctuary contains an assortment of habitats. Birds including warblers, flycatchers, and thrushes may jam the woods during the spring and the bordering grassy fields are frequently packed with birds including assorted sparrows, and buntings (even painted). The daily bird list in the kiosk tells what others before you have seen. Migration is always changing, the collection of birds within the sanctuary may change noticeably every day.
