Thank you to the AEP Foundation!

Exciting News!

We are thrilled to announce an $8,000 grant from the AEP Texas Foundation to support the new visitor kiosk at the entrance of The Lamar Burton Wetlands Wildlife Sanctuary.

This generous contribution will help us create a welcoming, shaded kiosk where guests can learn more about the sanctuary. The structure will feature maps and educational signage; highlighting the diverse ecosystems found on the property, along with interpretive information about the wildlife that call the wetlands home.

The AEP Texas Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life in the communities it serves, and the sanctuary welcomes a diverse range of visitors seeking outdoor enrichment. The Foundation also prioritizes education, and this project directly supports that mission by providing vital educational materials for the public.

This kiosk will not only enhance the visitor experience but also support our ongoing mission to promote awareness, appreciation, and conservation of this important habitat.

Thank you, AEP Texas Foundation and Patrick King for investing in our community and our natural treasures!
